STILL_MÓVIL – Retrato

I consider a portrait a kind of performance for the camera. During a portrait I can follow the instruction of the photographer but ultimately I’m in control of presenting my ‘self’ to the purpose to be transformed into an image.

In Retrato I asked each artist/collaborator to present their ‘self’ for a period of a minute. The chair functions as a symbol of this transformation from movement to stillness.
